September Update
Dear VFT Members,
Welcome Back! I hope you all had a fantastic summer and a smooth startup so far. A very light schedule so far for September, expect more events to be added to the calendar in the coming weeks and a busy October schedule on tap. For any new TLs, this update goes out at the beginning of every month and all events are free of charge to teachers/classrooms (most sessions take place over Zoom). Many TLs forward this update to all their teachers while others share events on a teacher-by-teacher basis. The best way to stay up to date is to add the Google Calendar link at the bottom of this update.
Some highlights this month include 'Empowering Children to Write & Tell Stories' by author Valerie Marsh (Sept.10, Gr. K-6), 'Animal Adaptations' by Lee Richardson Zoo (Sept.17, Gr. K-6), 'Arctic Lifestyles' with Ocean Wise (Sept.23, Gr. 4-9) and a variety of Teacher Pro-D sessions including 'Generative AI for Teachers' and 'Back to School with Google Classroom' by Logics Academy (multiple dates/times).
